Certipost nominated for ‘Gouden Factuur 2009’

For the second year in a row, Certipost has been nominated for a Gouden Factuur (‘Golden Invoice’). The Gouden Factuur awards recognise the efforts made by Belgian and Dutch pioneers within the field of electronic invoicing and automated invoice processing. The awards were handed out during the e-invoicing congress Factuurcongres 2009 in Eindhoven.

Certipost received a nomination in the category ‘B2B e-Invoicing’ with its Overtoom Nederland case study. Today, Overtoom sends out more than a fifth of its electronic invoices via the Certipost platform. The mail order company delivers its invoices in one uniform format, which is accurately translated by Certipost into the format of each recipient’s delivery channel:  a hard copy or electronically, via the Overtoom portal, via interconnections with other e-Invoicing platforms or integrated with the client’s back office.

In 2008 Certipost won a Gouden Factuur in the category ‘Automated Invoice Processing’ for its Sanoma Publishers case study. Certipost has enabled more than 3,000 freelancers to exchange electronic purchase orders with the Dutch publisher. Following a pilot study of a few months, the project went live in the last quarter of 2008. Approximately 30% of the suppliers approached have in the meantime switched to electronic invoicing.

The Gouden Factuur awards are instituted by Factuurwijzer:  an independent initiative aiming to have everyone in the Netherlands enjoying the advantages of electronic invoicing as quickly as possible. Friso de Jong, director of Factuurwijzer, is also the founder and chairman of Platform ELFA, the ultimate platform for electronic invoicing and automated invoice processing.
