In the Netherlands, the foundation “Stichting Waarborg E-factureren” has introduced a brand new quality label for e-invoicing, called Keurmerk E-factureren. Certipost, who has participated as a pilot user to this new initiative, was among the first to receive the quality label during the e-invoicing event Factuurcongres 2010, which took place in Eindhoven, the Netherlands on 7 June. The label remains valid for one year. It paves the way for a wider adoption of electronic invoicing by increasing the transparency of available services and the mutual trust between parties.
The label is designed for organisations that send large volumes of invoices and want to persuade their customers to accept electronic invoices. It is also intended for service providing companies, such as Billing Service Providers, suppliers of online invoicing services, accounting software providers, administrative offices, banks, accountants, credit management organisations and web shops. Companies that wish to obtain the label, have to respect a number of basic principles, the so-called keurmerkbeginselen. These set out the guidelines for correct e-invoicing, such as privacy, confidentiality and auditability of the data.
